A Case Like Any Other |
Hello there! This is a fanfiction I wrote, I hope you enjoy it, it is based on BBC Sherlock. (every chapter alternates points of veiw: sherlock is odd and john is even) |
So I thought I would just tell you briefly what my original story is going to be about.
There is a group called the Red Tag Society and the main character is a part of it. The group operates in secret, protecting everyone on earth without their knowledge. The members wear red tags (that look a lot like dog tags) which track their location and can send an sos signal when a member is in trouble.
The main character is asked to get a new member to join the group and she ends up asking this conspiracy theorist to join, even though he comes off as a little crazy. The conspiracy theorist ends up questioning some of the things the society is doing and ends up getting both himself and the main character in a lot of trouble.
That’s all I really have to say about it for now. I’m not very good at summary type things. I will post some of the story as soon as I have written at least a chapter.
I’ve started writing my original story everyone. I actually put my fingers to the keyboard and wrote something. It’s not enough to share yet but you know - progress.
.
Sherlock and John were working on a case and Sherlock had gotten permission to go into a man’s computer at his work to try to prove that he was the most likely suspect for the murder.
Sherlock was not 100% happy about this, because he had had to call Mycroft to get this access, and Mycroft was being quite smug about it.
John came in after the people exited the office, “I was talking to Mycroft” said John “He recons you’re in love with me…” John shook his head.
John and Sherlock had gone out on a few dates - entirely experimental, Sherlock claimed, and they had enjoyed it so far. That didn’t mean that they were in love.
“He’s right” said Sherlock, self-consciously looking down away from John, and pretending to go back to work at the computer.
John stood, shocked for a moment, before the smallest of smiles came across his face.
“Well I suppose that makes us even then” said John, sitting down beside Sherlock and looking at the computer screen “Have you found anything yet?”
Sherlock explained what he now knew about the suspect, a little cheerier than he normally would sound on a case like this. It had been fairly open and shut, ‘boring’ as Sherlock would call it.
Sherlock was also nicer to Mycroft for about five minutes when he next saw him.
But of course John and love had nothing to do with either of these things.
(I was bored and therefore take no responsibility for my actions of writing this but some of you wanted to see anything I wrote in the future so…)

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to ask you all what you think I should do with this blog now that I’m finished writing the fic.
I could just leave it as it is, and post the occasional link to something I write (since a couple of you seemed interested in reading something I write in the future)
or I could turn it into maybe a Sherlock themed blog, and leave the archive button for anyone who wants to read A Case Like Any Other…
Or I have seen blogs with a separate page containing something like a fic, so if I got help from someone (I’m not good with these things) I could put the fic on a link and then make this a sort of regular blog.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Thank you so much for saying this. I am so glad that you liked it.
I will definitely include links for anyone who wants to read other things I write as soon as I write them.
I am so happy that you liked the way I chose to end it. I felt like making it so that Sherlock and John seemed like a team that would never really stop what they do, even when crazy things happen.
